Ok first off
Dont get a bird based on talking ability or beauty get it for personality.
There are some species that are beautiful, affectionate, and that talk well but get a bird that best fits into your lifestyle.
Quakers are pheneminal talkers, I have a quaker named pickles and she knows 200 words as of now. She is also full of personality, and loves to play as well, she can be bossy at times but is a wonderful bird. And when she does bite it is pretty hard and sometimes she does break the skin, but for the most part she is a sweet heart
Quakers tend to be territorial around their cage, so you'll have to be a little firm with your bird with this issue.
Budgies dont always learn to talk and neither do cockatiels. But are wonderful companions

a parakeet is more likely to talk than a cockatiel but if a cockatiel DOES learn to talk the words will be alot clearer so it goes both ways. Both breeds also depend on the individual birds interest as well as talent. Patience will make the chances more likely as well.

My old neighbor has a quaker parakeet, and talking was only 1 of the things he did. They're rly friendly and get along with other birds rly well. They can learn 2 dance and other stuff like that.

Parakeets have better talking abilities than cockatiels.(only male cockatiels talk and their talking ability is limited) Quakers talk very well, but are not legal in every state.

Quakers do. Parakeets can talk and so can tiels..they have about the same abilities. I have talking tiels and I've had talking keets.
And generally, yes quakers are one person birds and do not tolerate others. Thats not always the case..but generally.

I think cockatiels in general have access to a larger vocabulary than the budgerigar does. But I definitely think it would depend on the individual bird.
