Tell him that him smacking his lips really annoys you. Theres no other way other then to make him eat soup which would b a little weird....

Tell him politely, its not what you say its how you say it. He probably will not get offended and will try to stop bothering you with that. It's not a big deal, communication is the word here!

i substitute into sitting on the bus the different day and the guy next to me substitute into ingesting like that, Soooo annoying. it would be impolite to tell her to provide up inspite of the undeniable fact that it is likewise impolite her ingesting like a slob .
