Yes, I think that is very romantic. it takes time, devotion and feeling for someone to write a poem. I had the pleasure only once when a guy wrote me a poem. I felt really special and loved. I still have it although I am no longer with the guy (he lives in another country).

i ain't a girl, but I'm sure that works. You know, once I wrote this very nice poem to this girl I've been crushing on for a month. I haven't really talked to her much but I knew she knew me. Anyway, I gave her the poem and she read it and by the time the class ended I asked her if she'd like to date.
And she said, "You know this is the sweetest thing a guy has ever done for me. However, I have a boyfriend. But could we still be friends?" She said all that with a smile hard to resist, y'know. "Sure," I said. Then she gave me a hug and we went to our classes into seporate ways.
