I know someone who tested positive for Oxy and he swears he didn't have any. He thinks something else he may have taken caused the result.

Please consult any pharmacist or your family doctor....Pharmacists are really good on drug questions and you can call them on the phone so it is an annymous call. However, it is a synthetic opiate and it is probably accurate if testing positive. I have sympathy for your situation, we always want to believe the best even when damning evidence is staring you in the face. Al- Anon is a support group for friens and family members of people with substance abuse problems... if we remove our reactions from the equation it often is quite effective. My husband is now 5 years clean and sober,,,Good Luck.

That happened to my bf. He tested positive for amphetemines even tho he has not/never has done it. What it was is that the steroids he takes for his lungs have benzine in them and that's what speed and other drugs have in them. He demanded another test but they fired him anyway...then the test came back negative and they were embarrassed but it was too late. So if your friend is taking Lortabs or other pain meds it could show up then.
