There is a family of them under my neighbors porch. They give off their scent almost every night and I'm afraid my dog will get sprayed.

Call your state wildlife people. They will capture and move them back to a forested area.

Lol, I had that problem once too. I have a very loud sound system. So one day I put some wattage to the speakers with some hard core rock (Metallica) for an hour or so, and the skunk left. I found the hole it was getting through to go under the house, and blocked it with a board.

Problem solved. Good luck to you!

ps, I have to add that looking at your avatar next to that question was comical. I got a good chuckle from it.

You can't. There are humane ways of capturing them, where the skunks get relocated. If they're spraying, then you have to get rid of them. I can't sleep at night - if I skunk releases, I wake right up from the smell. It's gross.

I can't imagine having a nest of them under my porch.... Ew.

Call your local police department and have them refer you to the local animal control or forestry dept. etc. whatever applies to your area and you can usually call them to take care of the situation. Do not take it into your own hands.
Good luck
