Look for healthier options- instead of eating cookies, try those Thinsations cookies. They're only 100 calories per bag. Want chips? Try baked Lays instead.

OR

If you absolutely have to have something, it's best to just eat a small amount. You'll end up eating everything you can to squash that craving and in the end tally up more calories with bad subsitutes than the food you actually wanted. Try a tiny piece of pie or chocolate... you'll find it does help!

Hi,

What sort of unhealthy stuff do you crave?

There are a few possible reasons for your cravings. But usually it is all in the mind.

Because your question is vague, I will be unable to offer any useful suggestions. But my mentor once told me that the quality of life is decided by the quality of the questions that you ask yourself.

Why don't you ask yourself these questions and I think you will know the answer to your above question..

- What sort of food do I crave?
- When do I crave such foods? (What situations arises when i crave)
- When was the last time I crave for this food?
- When was the first time I crave for this food?
- How does eating this food make me feel?
- Is there anything else I can do to make me feel the same way?
- Will giving in to my cravings do me any good?
- If I succumb to my cravings, what pains will I have? (Name 10)
- What is the effect on my health 10 years from now?
- Do I want this to happen to me?
- How can I avoid the situations where I will crave for this food?
- Is it better to take action now?
-THen when do I want to get started?

Good luck!

it takes a while but do some kinda physical activity. Take your mind off it. Imagine eating good stuff. Avoid buying it and don't keep "bad " foods in your home.

That way if you do get a craving it's easy to talk yourself out of going to get it.

I've heard that cravings only last for about 8-12 minutes, so just keep that in mind and wait it out.
