Between one and three years.

No reason to wait too long because I known two guys from highschool who married there sweehearts after dating 3+ years and they were both divoriced after 1 year and 2 years marriage anyways.

My sister married a guy she knew for 6 months and they ended up being married for 6 years until he left her for a married chick with 4 kids last may.

Depends on the couple, I know people that dated for 4 months and got married, I also know people that dated for 6 years and finally got married. It's all up to you and if you have reached the commitment point yet.

till you know for sure that God wants you married, i knew almost right away when i met my husband that we would get married and so did he. we got married a year later but would have sooner if all things were equal in life. Marriage won't work without God in the middle leading always.

At least one year.
You need to see how seasonal things, such as birthdays, holidays, seasonal job stress, taxes, vacations or family visits are handled. You need to experience events more than one time to really know for sure how your partner will consistently respond to those situations. Evaluating someone's behavior one time would not reveal either a positive or negative pattern.

Years. You really need to get to know their flaws to see if you can deal with them or not. Everyone has flaws what are you willing to live with. You also should know their past, not just what they tell you it is.
