some good , some undesirable, the two way, that is not a real relaxing interest, inspite of the undeniable fact that it takes a undeniable sort of guy or woman to do it stunning. I worked as a Correction Psychologist in a optimal protection detention center doing assessment of inmates. Then later in my life I did a while in detention center. So i will see it from the two facets.

well compared to the 25,000 , limited medical insurnace and fair pension that the correction officer in GA or TN gets it is good.

Or the 9 dollars a hour with no pension and no medical insurance that the county jail officers make.

I'm thinking it's supposed to be $72,000 a year. If so, yes it's a good salary. I'm sure you know that. Considering most correction officers don't make even close to that. I'd sure like to know where you work!

Yes, the job has tough duties but isn't a highly skilled field. You would have to work harder as an accounting or something related to reach that salary.

Oh my GOD! I'm an officer in Indiana and we are one of the lowest paid states. After 12 years and overtime, I don't make that.

It would be great pay, but you won't get it. A new recruit in New Jersey is paid about $39,500/yr. Max salary after many years of service is $62k/yr.
