My boyfriend and I speak maybe once a night. He calls me usually when he is avab. In the middle of it, he starts talking to other people at home. People come to him, ask who he's talking to, and then start talking about their day. All of this while I'm on hold and hearing this is rude in my opinion. I've tried to tell him so but he disagrees. I think it's rude on both parts, him and the person that starts to talk to him while he's obviously on the phone. What do you think?

This is usually between 9-10 pm since we both work early so it's the last thing we do before bed usually.

it's rude and inconsiderate of him to be talking to someone else when he was talking to you first. he should either say, "can i call you back in a few minutes" if he has to talk to that person about something important or tell that other person that he'll talk to them later.

Maybe he's only calling you out of a sense of obligation and would prefer to be talking with his friends.
But it works both ways. I think its really rude when you are in the middle of a conversation and someone gets a phone call and drops out of the conversation to talk to the person on the phone. Does being on the phone make you more important somehow?

its totally stupid & rude! I would explain to him that that phone call is the only time you have together and that you expect that at least he speaks to you for those couple of minutes. If he cannot grant you that little respect, how will he treat you when you are with him? Will he simply ignore you?

Yes,it is rude~Ask him next time what is a good time for you to call that you won`t get interrupted and explain to him if you call him you want it to be alone time without interruptions, maybe the timing is just off.Hope this helps!

Some people can multi-task,the conversation with him is probably pretty long,Right? So he probably needs to take care of other things.Do you need someones full attention?Perhaps you are a little insecure!

if you are knowing him since 7 years then i find it really illmannered and indecent.well i dont think that i must tell you this but when you are on phone with your b/f you yourself start talking with someone else at your home and let him feel how you felt.
