And then they're surprised when the children are stalked, or worse?

Proudly displayed on the back window of their MINIVANS......

Yes, people don't think about this. Anyone could approach the child and start up a conversation, such as, "Hey Bobby! How'd we do at practice?" and that's just the facts. We can't all reside in gated communities where there is no crime. In my city, abductions are common enough to have Amber Alert signs on the freeways. So why give them an opening?
Sorry if I've offended anyone, but OUR sports moms ALL drine minivans. Of course, there is the occasional Hummer!

Yes I have wondered that myself. I read tips for child safety and they say not to even put their names on their bookbags. I certainly wouldn't parade all their info around on my back windshield. Also part of the reason I never put the little "apple" sticker I received with my ipod on back of my car... didn't want to make myself a target. Some people don't think about the consequences. I'm sure they don't mean any harm and are just very proud of their children but, personally, I wouldn't want to give a pedophile or other sick criminal any kind of heads up to try and converse with my child.

I think it is junky looking with all the stickers and schools/kids info. But they want to be popular and be part of there little clicks ~so they announce all there kids crap. Parents trying to be what they could never be growing up. Athletes/cheerleaders, etc..
Not to mention the local pervs watching there every move, knowing they have children and whom to follow around looking for vehicles parked with these announcements , just yells i have kiddos........come take a peek. Really sick folks out in this worls that people do not think about.

what seriously??? is the common where you are from...kids of soccer mom's getting stalked? And you think the cause is the minivan sticker? Our identies are out there everywhere. A stalker doesn't need a sticker on a minivan. That is the least of it.

First of all, not all soccer moms have minivans.....Secondly, both my kids play every sport imaginable and I am very proud of it! I have a baseball sticker on the back of my vehicle with my kids' names. How can my children be stalked that way? My children have very common names.

Sure, up here in corn country we have those mom stickered vans all over the place. Also popular is the "My child is an honor stodent at blah blah school". Maybe they think it makes the kid proud? I HONESTLY think it's just more of the obsolete yuppy mentality. Bragging.

I also have seen a couple that say, "My kid beat your honor student's a$$!" I laughed out loud in my own car at that one.

I've never seen that...around here they all have these 4 inch soccer ball stickers...I'd never broadcast that kind of info on my car, that's just stupidity.
