When there are blunder mistakes in Bible.
The Bible says in chapter 1, verses 3-5, of Genesis that the phenomenon of day and night was created on the first day of creation of the Universe by God. The light circulating in the universe is the result of a complex reaction in the stars; these stars were created according to the Bible (Genesis chapter 1 verse 14 to 19) on the fourth day. It is illogical to mention the result that is the light (the phenomenon of day and night) was created on the first day of Creation when the cause or source of the light was created three days later.
According to the Bible, Book of Genesis, chapter 1, verses 11-13, vegetation was created on the third day along with seed-bearing grasses, plants and trees; and further on as per verses 14-19, the sun was created on the fourth day. How is it scientifically possible for the vegetation to have appeared without the presence of the sun, as has been stated in the Bible?

According to the Bible both the sun and the moon emit their own light. In the Book of Genesis, chapter 1, verse 16 says, "And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night".
Science tells us today that the moon does not have its own light.
Bible says in Leviticus 11:21-23 that insects have four feet but today we know that insects have eight feet.
Bible says in Leviticus 11:13-19(also in Deuteronomy: 11:18) that bats are birds but today we know that bats are flying mammals
Bible says in Leviticus 11:6 that rabbits (hares) chew their cud but rabbits simply do not do this. However, rabbits do eat their own poo, in order to absorb certain nutrients that passed through unabsorbed the first time. This is similar to human urine drinking
Bible says in Matthew 4:8: “Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and showeth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them.” Unless the world is flat,

Bible says in Psalm 93:1 "The world also is established that it cannot be moved." But today we know that Earth can rotate as well as revolve.
Bible also has many contradictions:

1 Samuel 31:4-6 says "...Saul took a sword and fell upon it. And when his armourbearer saw that Saul was dead and...died with him. So Saul died..." while 2 Samuel 21:12 says "...the Philistines had slain Saul in Gilboa."
Gen 2:17 says "But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day thou eastest thereof thou shalt surely die [note: it doesn't say 'spiritual' death] while Gen 5:5 says "And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died."
Matt 1:16 says, "And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus..." while Luke 3:23 says "And Jesus...the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli"

Perhaps you should try asking just one question at a time...
It's clear that you got this list from some other source - probably somewhere on the Internet. You probably could have answered most of these yourself.
Trying to deal with this list, you must think that stars are the only sources of light. There is no contradiction or impossibility in light from another source, or from plants being able to survive for even a single day with light from some other source.
No, the moon doesn't produce its own light, but the Bible doesn't claim that it does - it only says that it is a light in the night sky. Can you really argue with that?
Leviticus 11:21-23 says that grasshoppers have four feet. Are you saying that isn't correct?
The word used to describe birds and bats in Leviticus 11:13-19 and Deuteronomy: 11:18 means "flying animal." It's a translation problem, not a scientific error.
You answered your own point on Leviticus 11:6 - it's not an error.
Matthew 4:8 is a little poetic and figurative - surely you can see that! It doesn't say that Satan showed Jesus the entire world, but the great kingdoms.
Psalm 93:1 isn't saying that the earth doesn't revolve or rotate, but that it is sure.
2 Chronicles 22:2 is a copyist error. It is known to be such, and doesn't affect doctrine. The same goes for your other similar passages.
2 Samuel 21:8 refers to "...and the five sons of Michal the daughter of Saul, whom she brought up for Adriel the son of Barzillai the Meholathite." She didn't have children of her own; she was a foster mother.
Saul was mortally wounded in combat, but he died by falling on his own sword. Later, a bystander claimed that he killed Saul, but he was just seeking a reward.
Genesis 2:17 you answer yourself, even though you don't like the answer.
Matthew presents Joseph's geneology, while Luke records Mary's. Joseph was the heir of Heli because he married his daughter Mary. Even the ancient rabbis didn't call this a contradiction; they just wrote about the tortures in hell of "Mary, the daugher of Heli."
God put Abraham to the test, but He didn't tempt him to do evil. Again, a translation issue, not a contradiction.
Noah took two of every unclean animal and seven of every clean animal. More detailed instructions later don't contradict the earlier.
None of the gospel writers recorded all of Jesus' words on the cross. Just because he said something afterward doesn't mean that He didn't say this thing before He died.
Jacob saw God in that he wrestled with Christ; nobody, though, had seen the Father.
Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the "sea animal" (literal translation) - the KJV translators, not knowing modern biology, translated that word 'fish.'
This answers all of your so-called 'contradictions.' As I have told so many others, if you spent half as much time reading the Bible as you do reading the works of people who attack the Bible, you would accomplish so much more.

You can nit pick about anything and find fault with it but if you really want truth, you can normally find it. Who created the light in the first place? Can there be light without a created sun? Don't you think that there is a light around God that is given off simply by Him? Oh ye of little faith. Can a plant be created from nothing by an all powerful God? If you really don't want to believe there is a God that created things, you will be skeptical of everything and anything. Just because we can't create things like God did, does not mean it could not have been done by Him. As for the source of light, if you look in Revelation you will find that at the end when we get to Heaven that the Sun will be like the moon is to us now. So where is the light coming from? If you read it is God's throne. So do you think God needs a little sun to cast light on anything? He did not create the sun and stars for His sake but for us. I don't know where you are getting your information on rabbits but if you go to someone that has raised them they can tell you that rabbits do chew the cud just as cows do. Get out an encyclopedia and you will find they do indeed chew the cud. As for bats being birds, at the time the bible was written they were considered birds so why would they say otherwise? Just as some consider a whale a fish but in fact it is a mammal just as the bat is. If you want to find things wrong you can always find something to nit pick at but if you want the truth, check into the way things were at the time, study the habits and the way they talked and reacted to things, their customs and such. As for God showing the world, the known world could have been seen from the top of a mountain and given God's power, He could have let him see the whole world, even the uninhabitied parts if He wanted to. There is nothing that God can't do but lie and use force to get you to do what He wants. You can nit pick all you want but if you really do any real study of the bible, you will realize it is truly God's Word.

It is sad when somebody like you spends all that time trying to prove errors in the Bible. If it is so hard for you to understand there could be a problem with you not the Bible. If you don't have the Spirit of God living within you then the Bible makes no sense and it become a novel to lost people. Try this, put your trust and faith in the fact that the Lord Jesus Christ died for your sins and He was buried and He rose again the third day for your justification. If you do this then you can follow the simple instructions on how to study your Bible. 2 Timothy 2: 15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2: 7 Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.

Well Hassan, the Bible is the inspired Word of God. There are no mistakes in Gods word, but in translating from one version to the next, even with our modern printing presses, we make mistakes. I have a King James and a New American Standard, sometimes they differ in words. But the word of God remains, and has remained for two thousand years (old testament longer) Do you know of any other book that has withstood the test of time. Do you know how many times this book has tried to be destroyed? I am not a Bible scholar, but I came across this old question and I am going to answer a few. The light that you talk about is the light emitted by God. The moon may not have it's own light, but on a moon "lit" night you can see alot. Nights that there is no moon, it is very dark outside. Last night for instance.
The Bible talks about the insects, but you can't just read one little verse and get the secrets of the universe. Not only does it say four feet, but mentions the joints in the hind legs used for hopping. In Locusts, the front legs are tibia and hind are humers. (could be spelled wrong).
You may not be able to see all the kingdoms of the earth from a high spot, but when you stand up high on a cliff in California, you can see the ocean, the desert and thousands of little tiny people. Satan was offering the kingdoms of the world, if Jesus would bow down.
Do you know that in Job, the Bible says that nothing holds up the earth, yet for years and years the Greeks and Romans thought that a god was holding up the earth. Atlas. Also in Job, the Bible talks about under water rivers, that we never believed existed until science found out that was true. No one ever believed in King Nebekenezzar's hanging gardens, until explorers found it two years ago. Yet the Bible spoke of it for 2 thousand plus years.
Rabbits do chew their cud and you are right the do eat their own droppings rabbit/rabukfcts.htm.
As for the King Ahaziah, my New American Standard says in both places 22, yet My King James says 22 and 42.
Michal did not have children of her own. She brought up the five sons of Barzillai.
Saul did die in Gilboa, but you have to read the story, it explains.
Matthew has the geneology of Joseph and Luke the geneology of Mary. Heli is his father-in-law.
In Genesis to die doesn't mean spiritual death, it just means to die. If Adam and Eve hadn't sinned they wouldn't have died.
To be tempted means to be drawn with our own lusts. Temptation comes from evil desires within.
And no one has ever seen God. Moses saw the burning bush, not God. Jacob wrestled with the angel of God. He saw the angel of God face to face.
During the flood Noah was to take two of every kind. Of clean beasts that they would eat, they could take more. They were only allowed to eat the "clean" beasts.
As for Jonah in the whale, fish or mammel it doesn't matter, I mean you can start classifying everything with its scientific name. There are millions of types of "fish" in the ocean, different types of whales.
Look you either believe or you don't. No one can prove anything to you. But while you are protesting, just remember how many died for this "book" and how Jesus died and his disciples. Remember how in some Arab countries it is illegal. Doesn't it make you wonder why some believe so whole heartedly that they would die for it. Our God is the God of Love, you never hear of a Christian suicide bomber, do you? Satan doesn't want you to believe. What would you decide?

You're trying to find a scientific information for the acts of God, when God does not need science. He's God. When He said "let there be light" he most likely created a temporary light source, not the sun and the moon, which you correctly stated he created on the 4th day. Why would God need SUNSHINE to create vegitation? He even created fruit with the seeds already in them. What you have here is the chicken and the egg thing. Did you want God to create seeds first and then scatter them around so they could grow? But if He did that, where did the seeds come from? Plants? But then where did they come from? Do you get my drift? ;) II Timothy 3:16 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness."

For those who believe , no proofs are necessary,
For those whodon't (Like peterb and flying-bishop-whatever) sun would revolve around the earth, because motion is all relative.
We all know that bible is word of god, revised and edited by humans. Who cares about such things?
You can never convince anyone that God doesn't exist, just as they can't prove God exists. Let God be if he is. If he isn't, it doesn't matter, it means that thousands of people have grudgingly helped frllow human beings in the hope of reaching a nonexistent heaven.
At least, it has lured otherwise thoughtless/cruel people into compassion! Ends justify the means.
If something imaginary helps you in solving problems, let it be. Don't you use imaginary number i in maths, and negative frequencies in derivations in communications? God is another i.
And people, if you can't answer the questions, don't scold that person. If people didn't question, you would still be burning innocent women for being witches.

For in the New Testament (someone please help me remember the book, chapter, and verse) it is written: all scripture is given by inspiration of God.... Do you actually think that man alone could have come up with something such as or anywhere close to the Bible? God worked through some forty men (who penned the Word).

You really don't want an answer. You obviosly feel that you know everything. If you have no Faith in the existence and power of ALmighty God there is nothing left for me to say. It is your eternity to believe as you will. God will not force you to believe. He wants those willingly obedient to Him. You have started making your bed. I pray that you will realize, at some point, that there is another way.
