get your hair trimmed every 6 weeks.

Don't brush your hair too often, and when you do, be sure to use brushes and combs with smooth, wide-set teeth

Cut down on hair dryers, straightening irons, curling irons and hot curlers.

Buy a natural-bristle brush that won't pull on hair and ultimately break it off, thereby causing a possible split end.

Use a shampoo that lists sunscreen as a major ingredient.

Treat your hair as the fragile living thing it is; don't twirl, tug or abuse it.

use deep condtitioner.

There isnt anything that can undo split ends, all you can do is get a hair cut often. The reason you probably have so many right now is because you havent trimmed your hair in a long time. After I get my hair trimmed I like to use Sleek Looks by Matrix which works amazingly, you wont see split ends for months after using that shampoo. I also heard the Paul Mitchell, Super Skinny is a good shampoo too.

At this point the only thing to do is cut them off!! TIGI's EGO BOOSt leave in cond. will help hide some of them and it is an excellent product! after you get the splits taken care of take better care of your locks to keep them gone you dont need to wash your hair everyday, try every other and invest in some GREAT products an dget regular cuts, every 6-8 weeks is good, dont rip thru your hair with a brush be gentle to your locks!!

My advice is to get your hair trimmed at the salon every 8 weeks and you won' t ever get split ends.

this is a good recipe for damaged hair:
blend a banana with a tablespoon of olive oil
leave it in your hair for 15 minutes with a shower cap
then wash it out with cold water.
