Not gonna happen. If that happened it would leave the USA and China open to constant resolutions against them, making the Security Council unworkable, resulting in its demise.

If you are saying every member of the U.N. should have equal voting power it just would not work. At present you have five permanent members with the power of veto and this even leads to long delays in resolutions being accepted and passed. If all things were equal resolutions would never even make it to a vote. While all things aren't equal any resolution proposed by the permanent members goes to the Security Council (15 members) and then to the whole body of the United Nations. As can be seen with the present proposed resolution on Lebanon things are not simply rubber stamped. The present system allows proposals to be brought forward quickly in a focused manner whereas what you seem to be proposing would end up with every issue being deadlocked. It may not be perfect but I can't see an alternative. If any changes were to be made I would like to see a stronger more forceful U.N. but that is unlikely as long as they depend on the U.S. financial contribution.

The number of votes should depend on the number of people of the country represented.

In an Ideal world that would be the case.
But currently, no single country has the balls to suggest this to the UN general assembly.
