Make sun tea. Place tea bags in a clear glass jar (Pickle jars are nice since they are big). Use as many as you like. The more you use the stronger the tea. Place the jar full of water and teabags outside in direct sunlight. I let mine sit from early morning untill middle afternoon. If you never had this you should definenatly try it. I use Lipton teabags in mine.

What no one else here seems to understand is basic chemistry, specifically how solvents work. The hotter water is, the better it is at dissolving, which is why hot tea tastes stronger than cold. As hot tea cools, the water becomes less able to keep the tea particles dissolved, so they (and the flavor) fall to the bottom, creating all that silty residue. The hotter the tea was when you made it, the more yucky residue you'll get. It's therefore much better to brew the tea at room temp: just fill up the pitcher with regular tap water, toss in the bags, and wait a half hour or so. When you then refrigerate it, you'll still get a bit of residue, but not nearly as much as if you'd boiled the water first.

Sun tea -- 1 tea bag for every 12 oz. of water. Put the clear container in direct sunlight and 4 hours later you will have the best tea you ever tasted.

I generally just leave the tea bags in a glass tea pot for
awhile and then remove them after about 1 hour.
Than I put the tea in the fridge and add the sweetener
later. Add ice if it is to strong.

Depending on how much tea you want to make....I use one quart of boiling water, add two family sized tea bags, steep for about 20 minutes. This is very concentrated but when you add your ice cubes it dilutes it. If you want sugared tea then add the sugar while the tea is still hot as this helps to dissolve the sugar. I prefer fresh lemons in my tea. I usually add one slice per glass. Enjoy

Sit Tea bags in a glass jar full of water and sit it in the sun :)...Another way is to stick tea bags in boiling hot water and then add cold water.
