Why do you want to break the friendship? Maybe he feels the same. Ask him how he feels. A couple are best friends first and lovers second.

He is your friend so just sit down and tell him your feelings have changed from just a friend to falling in love with him.It should be easy because he's your friend and you can tell a friend anything.He probably feels the chemistry already and won't be surprised at all.he'll probably be glad the ice is broken and he can tell you his feelings too.Don't be scared,you love him don't let him go without knowing your true feelings.Good luck and may God be with you.

Well if you feel that way about him , sit him down and tell him how you feel about him but tell him if he doesn't feel the same way that your freindship will still be there ....
