little doubt, artwork and pay it off. basically think of what it may be like in case you should be debt unfastened. i'm engaged on that top now and for the 1st time in my life the money that I earn would be all mine to do what i decide directly to, fairly of postmarking it each and each month to a bill collector or some student very own loan enterprise for an training that I have been given goodbye in the past that the non-public loan is nicely worth greater advantageous than I make. you opt to repay debt first and artwork on no longer amassing any new debt. an excellent sort of human beings don't be conscious of this yet debt is undesirable and since the bible says "the borrower is slave to the lender" so do no longer handle any new debt and in case you will pay money on your next direction or degree. definite you're able to do it, in case you're debt unfastened!! solid success..

tell him to contact the student union, they might be able to help. most universitys have councillors he can talk to that will have loads of information about what grants he is eligible for and how he can cope.
im sure the uni want him to stay with them and they'll do their best to meet a compromise, maybe paying off the fees over a term instead of all in one go.
has he got a job? i had to put myself through uni by working 2 jobs.

I'm sorry to hear that your friend is in debt, but don't you think kthat sort of thing could have been avoided if he was more organised before studying over here? Surely he knew it wasn't going to be free & that he would have to pay it back immediately?
He will have to delay his second year & get a job in the mean time.
There's not really any other option is there (unless you can pay it for him)?

I do not know of any Uni. which does this. Most will do all they can to help. See his Year Tutor for advice - if it is a genuine Uni. IT WILL HELP.
Sorry. But I think this is a con. Like the ones we get in our In Box every day, from Nigeria etc.
If anyone is thinling of helping, I wouls say TREAD WARILY.

To be honest I've never heard of a University doing that to someone before, i thought you had finish your exams etc and start earning of £15.00 before you could pay it back! £6000 pounds is alot of money to pay back before September, i feel for your friend as i know what debt does to you, he's better off doing a part time job and earning extra money.

He could possibly ask his parents to loan him the money- or he could get an advance of $ if he has a job. Sorry that I couldn't help more.

He might be able to receive assistance from his home university (if he's a foreign exchange student). Typically, fin/aid is not available to non-residents of any country, so his best bet is to try to be financed by his own.
