I know you may think that with a bird, there is no such thing as cuddly, but I've seen many birds who bond with their owner well, and are kinda cuddly, but I was wondering which of the following are the most people-oriented and/or cuddly birds?

1. Cockatiel
2.Budgerigar(Budgie)
3. Conure.

Cockatiel are the most sociable in the birds you listed but if you want a bird to build a lifetime bond with get a parrot they are colorful and will talk to you

I have a Mullucan (SP?) Cockatoo and he is the most loveable thing in the world, he likes nothing better then to be cuddled. He likes you to hold him against you chest and pet him. I love him to death, I would say that if you want a cuddly bird go with a Cockatoo, the umbrella's are nice too, but not as cuddly

Tiels in the list you have, in my experience are more cuddly. I've never had a conure so I can't be a judge of them. But all birds, when raised to be handleable are loving. It's a matter of time, patients and consistency.

Ok first off birds are very cuddly if raised properly and the cuddling is kept within reason.

My 11 year old female goffins cockatoo coconut loves to cuddle and will climb down from her cage and look for me to play with her, and at night when we watch tv she will cudddle with me for hours, but if you over cuddle a bird they wont know what to do when they're not being cuddled.

My 11 year old male senegal parrot crackers loves to cuddle as well, we will watch tv and he will sit in my hand and fall asleep and just relax.

However our 10 year old mae african grey Max hates cuddleing, he was over cuddled as a baby and he just grew out of it, and we respect Maxes choice he still loves to play and interact with us but he just doesnt want to be petted or cuddled but he is still affectionate, and gives you kisses, and lets you scratch his neck.

Of the birds you listed conures are the most cuddly, and they are also the smarter of the birds you listed, they can learn tricks quicker and arent flighty like a parakeet, or as hormonal as a cockatiel in the spring. They love to be held and played with, and can be family pets.

Like I said dont over cuddle, this will cause the bird to be clingy, and scream like crazy when you dont cuddle it, and they will pull out their feathers in frustration.

Definitely Conures....they are gregarious and adore people. Get one that is hand raised and weaned and they will be your best pal. I have a 4 year old green-cheek conure named Rio and she loves to cuddle.
