My boys are 9, 3 and 2 and love daddy's mohawk but when ever they are sitting in that chair decide they don't want one. At 19 months he can't tell you no, but if that is the style haircut you want to give him go for it! From now until he is old enough to choose his own style you are the one to make those decisions. As young as he is he will not be tramatized by what haircut you give him or clothes you buy. Now, if he were 14 and you wanted to force a mohawk on him, I'd tell you no. But at his age... do it! They look adorable! My kids always want the fauxhawk (which is why I'm always so shocked when they back out of the mohawk in the chair!! lol).

To all those people who think they are tacky and the kids will hate mom... they are making a comeback! There are atleast 3 boys on my oldest son's baseball team with mohawks. They idolize my husband's mohawk which is up a foot high at times...

Twatwaffle, I know that you like to have fun on Y!A, but if you are serious, why don't you just grow out his/her hair and do a mullet?

Or if you must do a mohawk, then do it right. Grow it out so it's a long one and dye it. I see kids with these wimpy mohawks and I just have to shake my head at the poor things whose parents don't know how to do it right.

Do whatever you want - but your 19 mo. old will grow up someday and have his/her own opinions about something like that. They might either laugh about their ridiculous looking baby pictures where, or they may think you were an idiot and want to burn the pictures where they have freakish-looking hair.

Whatever you do, remember this. What YOU might think is cute and funny, might not seem cute or funny to your child when they get older. The only difference is, right now they can't speak up for themselves - they are trusting you.

If you're ever gonna give him a mohawk, this is probably the only time in his life that he'll let you.

awe...lol...don't give that baby a mohawk...kids are cute already, i think a mohawk would just reflect how tacky you are...not trying to insult you, just he doesn't' know any better...

NO, mohawks are ugly, especially on kids.

Childrens hair grows so quickly if you dont like it , it will only be a few weeks and you can fix it to a buzz
