Apparently the average human will eat the following in their lifetime:

8 Cattle
36 Pigs
36 Sheep
15 Rabbits
760 Poultry
Half ton of Fish

Do you believe this? I've never (knowingly) eaten a rabbit and I'm sure most people eat more than 8 cattle - think of all those barbeques!!

Okay, I like a bacon sandwich as much as the next man, but I can't imagine me eating 36 pigs worth of them in a life time.

But, roast dinners, hmmmmm ... maybe I could polish off 8 Cattle in my time!

No wonder I'm fat!

This is an average, created by looking at other statistics such as number of each animal sold and the numbe of people in the country, life expectancy and then the results are worked out mathematically.

This does not mean every person in the country will eat 15 rabbits, it just means that if you work out the average of how many rabits were sold to the food industry last year and multiplay by the average uk life expectancy then divide by the population of the country then the answer is 15.

Don't forget the spiders that crawl into your mouth (a nice damp place) during the night. I'm told that this happens to everyone many times during their lifetime, including vegetarians

I looked it up. The only place you find those statistics are on vegetarian web sites, and it is slisted as an average for people from Gr. Britain, not all humans everywhere.

Those statistics are based on sales of meat, not on actual consumption. I'm sure the totals are somewhat lower. I know I've burned many chickens and thrown them aways plenty of times. I'm sure that alot of people have meats go bad on them.

So, No, I don't believe it.

Mmm...cute barbecued bunnies...

I'm kind of far behind on the rabbit part, and I'm sure I'm way ahead on the cattle bit. So, no...I don't believe it.
