there is a super secret web site, its at xsharex.info try asking there they are some realllyyyy screwed up kids craking up all the software. If you do find it, you got 2 choices
1. take it and use it
2. report it

im not sure if the website works, im just telling you since you asked for excel. Now if you were to be a truthfull guy and dont wnt that, then you can go to www.cclub.editboard.com , sign up, and at the answers page ask for a program SIMILAR to excel, you can get those free there are a lot of em funded by small groups. Theres also websites where you can use excel online, so where ever you go you can get your data. Just ask at cclub they will find it for ya, i guarantee it( not literaly, but ya, i trust in em, cause i am em)

Now don't you wish you were more friendly to the geeks?
Unfortunately Excel is part of the Microsoft office family. That means you are paying for the full suite. The basic is word, excel, powerpoint and outlook. Not ure if you can purchase separately. Find a geek buy him or her lunch and your set.

Well, you know HOW to get the most recent, but, as you said, it is costly.
The reason it is costly is because it is very good at what it does.
However, there are other programs that do what Excel does, and, they are free..
The problem though, is whether or not they can read the Excel files that you've already made, and whether or not they can be READ using Excel. And, the other problem is, I can't remember what it's called.. dang..

Get it off a torrent file. Download utorrent. Go to www.isohunt.com
search "microsoft excel" click on the one that makes the most sense and download the torrent, opening it with utorrent.

You have to buy it...it costs so much because Microsoft can charge as much as they want and people will still buy it. Try OpenOffice, it's free and it opens, edits and saves to Excel format.

Go to download.com and download "Linda's Office Sampler 2000". Maybe this would solve your problem of buying Excel outright.
