Yes, and to educate a person who bifurcates humans into heathens and nonheathens is to produce an educated bifurcator.

A heathen or an infidel is merely an emotionally-charged definition for someone who disagrees with your beliefs. To a Moslem, you are a heathen or an infidel. The most intelligent and educated people do not rely upon blind faith. They have knowledge that is much better than blind faith and blind belief. Several savants have said that many people accept God by faith, and the savants reject him for the same reason. Thomas Jefferson told his nephew the he wouldn't disagree with the lad if the boy decided there is no God after a critical and objective study of the Bible. Jefferson didn't want the Bible taught in public schools, for he hated all forms of tyranny over the mind of man. Jefferson was an intelligent and educated man. Don't dismiss him with your thoughtless definition!

Not necessarily. A smart /educated person would do what a lot other smart people do - study. If someone was an athiest and was trying to prove that God didn't exist - than it would probably be in their best interest to refute every word and statement Jesus said about himself. That individual would not just go on hearsay or a feeling or some background story of how God left them when they were a child or how God didn't answer their prayer. This individual who doesn't have faith in God and is really smart - well, if he truly wanted to be smarter than he would dig deep into the Bible and refute everything written or accept everything written. Sometimes it is our smartness that brings us closer to God because it is then we realize that we truly are not that smart without God.

Educated man? Educated heathen? A heathen can be a man, right? A man could be a heathen, right?
I know what you mean (although sophomoric) but you're using wrong terms.

All of us has a chance to make a change, and sometimes it takes some years to understand where we were wrong. that person although educated doesn't mean he can't change. All of us lack faith sometime or another, Jesus even told his disciples once if you had the faith of a mustard grain seed you will be able to move mountains with it. Thomas lacked faith, and so did Peter, he lied on the Christ.

Wrong. Perhaps the man has a lack of faith in God, but is still a good person. Perhaps, you should not Judge him! Judge not, lest ye be judged yourself.

You see, he may believe that goodness is what you believe is godliness. Eventually in the man's life, he may come to believe in God also. Perhaps because of his education.

Being a religious zealot is to ignore the religious teachings of the great prophets.

how did you educate him, by reading him the bible? quoting scripture?

the best way to educate is by example. if you have constant faith in god he will see this. that is how you educate. you cannot teach someone something you do not practise consistently /a part of your daily life.

this is all the education he needs from you. what he does with it is another story. you might be pleasantly surprised. i know i was.

Ok. But faith in God is irrational, so whose judgment is more to be trusted, the heathen or the faithful?
