I believe in both, because if there is evil than there is good too! Far too many people claim to see "ghosts" and I believe them. If you believe in demons I think you should be open to the possibility of ghosts too!

i believe the other way around :o)
i have had experience of ghost and spirits but don't believe in demons
i have studied all of the above
ghosts are nothing but memory left in the atmosphere .. something left behind but it has no conscious and cannot communicate or interact with us .. and like a recording will eventually just play out
spirit are what we become after death .. the part of us that lives on , and can communicate with us in many ways including through a medium
demons i do not believe in however i have seen many cases of what appears to be some kind of possession , but i have to say that it is known that in many of these cases that have been studied properly , that they are nothing more than either illness , or the power of the mind
the mind can be so powerful and at times of stress or more commonly during adolescence our energy can manifest in such a way that it would appear there is something other than us at work
these people have had their so called " demons " cast out with nothing more than some kind words or a little visualisation .. and i don't believe if it was demons at work they would be so easy to be rid of

Then your beliefs are incorrect. Ghosts and Demons "Earth Spirits" are composed of the SAME ether; i.e. Energy without physical substance. Ghosts are the energy left over, when a human being's physical body ceases to function. Scientifically speaking, we KNOW energy can neither be CREATED nor DESTROYED. Our brains, the seat of higher function, run on organically created electricity. Where does it go when we cease to be? It remains: GHOSTS. They can choose to pass over, or some, in fear of what lies beyond for them, remain on the earthly plane. "Demons" are energy beings that were never human, never possessed of the physical form. They have been here since the creation of the world. They are intensely interested in the STATE of BEING physical. But, they are TOTALLY amoral. Good and Bad mean nothing to them. They do not understand it. Hence, sometimes they are classified as Demons, when they engage in activity that is detrimental to us. On the other hand, they sometimes do helpful things. Then, they are classified as "Angels." To them, we are an amusement, and nothing more. The energy they possess is MUCH more powerful than a Human entity. They have had millenia to develope their power and control over this environment.
In short, "There are more things under heaven and earth, Horatio, than dreamt of in your philosophy." BOTH exist.

There is a huge difference between the two. Ghosts are lost souls of people at one point but demons are monsters from hell. That's my opinion.

There are ghosts in my home. They make noise at night and move things around. However, I think they were interior decorators in life because they always rearrange my living room in ways that are more stylish and better flowing. I will leave paint and brushes out in the hopes that they will repaint the guestroom.

There was a woman who was told that her son that went to the war in iraq wasn't found and thought dead. She then started seeing apparitions of a spirit masquerading as her son in her living room in the evenings and she we would talk to it. Then when her son really came, it was a really big surprise. That ghost wasn't really him! At the hour she saw the ghost, he wa wide awake in iraq, so it wasn't him seeing her in his dreams!

Here is one for you. My girlfriend's father passed away, two weeks later we were in bed and she was asleep and I was not. I just closed my eyes and was trying to clear my thoughts when all of a sudden I felt something in my face. In my head in a clear voice I heard it's me! it's me! Had to be there but freaky as hell.

we was sitting under a tree. all of a sudden my uncle starting shaking violently. we had to restrain him so that he did not harm himself or any of us.
he started to speak differently. after 15 minutes of shaking and speaking strangely he came back to normal.
we leant later that our neighbour had died.
we come to the conclusion that our life-loving neighbour did not want to give up life so he clung to a body nearby.
i feel scared even today.
