Would it serve any real purpose? Would you be more likely to answer a question if it was apparently asked by a hunky guy or a cute chick?
Avatars are much more fun! Besides which, I'm so ugly my pic would scare everyone off and I'd get no points!

You can't possibly think that people would post their "real" pictures do you? Everyone would go to the web and post pictures of hot babes and ripped guys and claim it's them!

No way. if anyone I knew (except someone I know) knew who I was I'd have to modify my answers. At least I can say what I like, truth or not, and be covered by anonynimity
