sounds like he changed his mind about people and sin. He created sin with Adam and Eve, and then said, hold on sinners, here ya go, this guy will die for all your sins. Sounds like a beaurocratic f-up. Yes?

Actually no, it does not Ann. If you truly want to research this topic, rather than just rustle some feather, check out Paradise Lost and the literary criticism that follows. The argument of the fortunate fall well articulates the paradox of destiny and free will, whereas critics of the Calvinist school promote a pure destined future.

Your logic is flawed in you premises however. He did not create sin with Adam and Eve on two levels. First, Adam and Even were created with the possibility of sin, not the embodiment of sin. Second, Lucifer had to sin before Adam and Eve did, therefore sin was already in the world.

CS Lewis explores this not only in several essays, but also in a fiction series involving Dr. Ransom, in the book Perelandria. The other two books in the series are Out of the Silent Planet and That Hideous Strength. I would recommend delving the massive literary libraries on this topic alone.

The concept of sin, honorable disobedience, and metaphysical dualism seeps into all elements of western thought. Exploring a question of this magnitude, honestly exploring it, takes more than just one lifetime.

God doesn't make mistakes. God loved his creation so much that he gave Adam and Eve freewill to love and obey him. But due to the fact of curiousity and choices, Adam and Eve did their own thing and sinned against a holy God. God didn't want humanity to go to hell because that was the consquences of sin. So he had to have another plan and sent his son Jesus the sinless one to take our place on cross. It was through the cross and the grave, sin was defeated. And now all mankind has a choice of going to Heaven. God knew what was going to happen way before the Earth was created. But I believe it was for the best because it shows us just how much God loves us. We as a human race did not truly know what unconditional love was about until Jesus came along. When was the last time some one laid down their life for you so that you could live free on Earth and in the next life to come? What an awesome friend that would be to have. Jesus did that for you.

According to a new book titled The Project it was the creator who sinned against the first humans and not the other way around. This new book puts the creation story in a sci-fi venue and, in so doing, shows that the traditional concept is totally misunderstood. If you'd like to find out more about this, go to www.iuniverse.com and type in the author's name, James Joseph. You can read the first chapter for free, which will show you how sin began in the spirit world even before humans were created. The characters in the book have fictional names, but you can eventually figure out who they represent.

Hey Ann_Tykreisst,

Great observation on religious doctrine. First you have to believe that the literal meaning of Adam and Eve. Second, you have to believe that Jesus purpose was to die for our sins. I do not hold either belief.

Adam and Eve is a story to explain good and evil. Jesus did die, and all martyrs are made bigger than life. Jesus died because he offended the political status quo of his time! What Jesus said, the words are the true value of his existence. The pen is mightier than the sword.

If we could all just follow the guidelines Jesus taught, the world would be a better place. But, as you found, where do you draw the line with believing what was written. You have to decide for yourself! Choose wisely.

God created man with the ability to obey or disobey - otherwise He would have just made little robots.

Before the creation, God knew that somebody would sin under such an arrangement - if it wasn't Adam, it would have been you. So even before creation, He determined that Jesus would be the sacrifice for sin (Revelation 13:8). It's not a mistake, as you so crudely phrased it - it's God plan and His eternal purpose (Ephesians 3:10).

You're forgetting that He gave us Free Will. Sure, He could have just programmed us to follow Him blindly, but there would be no real satisfaction in having blind followers when the real tribute is in cognizant willingness to follow. Add Free Will to your equation and see where that takes you. Sin takes on another dimension, doesn't it? Eventually it became evident that Mankind would be unable to follow His guidelines without sinning and since Heaven cannot allow sinners to enter, He came up with the idea that His Son Jesus would accept all sins for entrance into Heaven. That way, Free Will and Human Nature could co-exist without preventing entrance into Heaven. Now, Heaven is possible if you repent and ask forgiveness for your sins through the one who has already gone before you to light the way...Jesus Christ.

Leastwise, that's how I understand the way it works.

BTW, why did you choose your particular pseudonym?

No God does not make mistakes - he did not create sin with Adam and Eve - he allowed them freedom to commit sin - and being human they did commit sin - and so God out of forgiveness to the human race send his ONLY son (Jesus) to die for our sins!@

i'm a Christian and that i've got not got faith homosexuality is a sin. The notice homosexuality contained in the Bible is a unfastened, misguided translation for "sexual immorality." The verses attributed to Paul are written in a diverse sort and have been maximum in all probability extra later. so some distance as situation-free experience, I see no reason God could create human beings to be gay and then condemn them for their organic emotions. I additionally do no longer see how homosexuaity hurts each and every physique. by utilising the way, i like how maximum of human beings criticize Christians for no longer thinking yet whilst Christians do think of approximately subjects, they criticize them for "finding out on and picking.' you may no longer win.

We are an experiment. God has changed his mind so many times throughout times that it shows that he is actually the biggest scientist of all time. God created us, things didnt go as planned, so he improvised. Either that or humans REALLY got his message wrong. Either way we dont know cause we arent the creator and could never have enough intelligence to know the absolute truth.
