I've been refreezing meats of all kinds for more than thirty years. I seldom believe anything until I've tested and proved it. I have thawed and refrozen many many many pounds of bacon, ham, pork, beef, chicken, turkey, fish and ground beef. If it's bad for me, I'd like to know in what way and why I haven't seemed to be affected in all of those years.

My reaction to that idea is the same as my reaction to all advice from people who work in laboratories and live in ivory towers, believe nothing of what you hear (and read), and only half of what you see.

Why don't you just cook up the bacon and keep it refrigerated...that way it isn't gone to waste.?????

I would cook it and then freeze it. I think it would lose flavor otherwise.
