I "met" my fiance on the internet nearly 7 years ago. We chatted for a week and seeing that we were bored, we decided to meet for a movie. What started out as friendship quickly blossomed into love. Now it's almost 7 years since we first met in person and we're heading down the aisle early next year. We've been through everything together from unversity, first car, first job, first home together...it's been and continues to be one hell of a ride :-)!
However, I do not believe that one can fall in love with another person on the internet...what happens is that people fall in love with words that can written by anybody.

Hi,
Well...I met my hubby online about 7 years ago. We've been married for 4 years now. We are both very happy. (I was married before, didnt meet him online and it didnt work.) Knowing him online seemed like it gave us a chance to be friends and work on THAT relationship before going into marriage. Neither one of us thought tho that we would marry. In fact after meeting we didn't marry for more than a year later. I'm from the US and he's from the UK...we met online miles apart, but ended up together. Nice love story huh?

Me and my Bf have been together for nearly 2 years...
we met off the net.
i think if your thinking about meeting someone off the net then you need to make sure that its gonna be proper worth it... you dont want to meet someone thats gonna end up ringing every second of the day and never leaving you alone
Me and my Bf have the odd argumments, but i think thats cause we are so alike...

The problem with internet romance is that it can only go so far without seeing and being with them in person. If you are within a reasonable driving distance, it might work, if you're not then one of you would have to relocate, and how likely is that?

this really depends on individuals.
Some can last for years. My ex...7 years...nearly got married...blah blah blah...
Distance is not really a problem nowadays, with technology like IP phone, webcam and 3G phones...I guess is pretty much the same huh
