try Butlins at Filey, there are also some nice holiday parks in Scarborough. Blackpool is fine if you're feeling a bit flush. Scotland is another good option. Sometimes newspapers have tokens in them where if you collect them kids go free in places like Haven and Butlins all over the country and it can work out cheaper if you do it that way.
centreparcs and places of the like can be very expensive in high season so unless you're prepared to pay a lot- I wouldn't bother.
Watch out though, holiday parks that cater for kids (if you're camping) often charge per person rather than by the pitch, so the cost can add up especially if you have 5 of them. Look for sites where you pay for the pitch only if you're going in the tent.
personally I'd forget the holiday park idea, take a tent and go to the lake district or yorkshire moors, your kids will learn to appreciate the great outdoors and maybe try new sports- you can get cheap pitches on smaller sites. Even though they might not have all the entertainment facilities but there are so many other things to do out there other than sit in a bar watching terrible cabaret.
When it comes down to it, it's just a place to sleep- provided you have transport you can make your own entertainment.
have fun

Depends what they call fun. Haddon Grove, Derbyshire. Cheap. Good.
1) Local walks (Dovedale, Lathdale)
2) Houses (Haddon Hall, Chatsworth)
3) Activities (Heights of Abraham, Gullivers Kingdom)
4) Caves, rivers & forests (Edale, Blue John Mine)
5) Jodrell Bank Radio Telescope
6) Interesting towns (Bakewell, Glossop, Matlock Baths)
