Do you know that:

Do good anyway...

"In the Final Analysis"

by Mother Teresa

People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered...
forgive them anyway

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish ulterior motives...
be kind anyway

If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies...
succeed anyway

If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you...
be honest and frank anyway

What you may spend years building, someone may destroy overnight...
build anyway

If you find serenity and happiness, people may be jealous...
be happy anyway

The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow...
do good anyway

Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough...
give the world the best you have anyway

You see, in the final analysis, it's all between you and God...
it was never between you and them anyway

I am regularly attacked for my lack of religious beliefs (parly why I think it's amazing that some people call atheism 'the easy choice' or 'the soft option').

Yet I believe 100% in those beautiful words of Mother Theresa's that you wrote. Except for the last part, of course. I wonder if Mother Theresa could conceive of a person who voluntarily tries to forgive, be kind, succeed, be honest, build, be happy, do good and give his best without any belief or consideration of a God with whom to enter into dialogue...

Personal attacks no longer affect me or the way I respond to individuals. Look at what they did to Christ. And all they tell me is what an embarrassment I am talking about "superstitious nonsense." Well, let me ramble. Cos, the way I see it, if these folks can be a fan for the New Orleans Saints, I can be a fan of Jesus Christ. After all, isn't fan the shortened version of "fanatic?" And does anyone make fun of people with funny costumes, painted bodies, exposed body parts, when they see them in sub zero temps rooting for their team? Why can't I have the same consideration? No it doesn't bother me and in the end it is between me and the one who sent me. :-)

I am not religious, and I am attacked for it. My oldest sister is worst for that. I majored in Philosophy and Art, and I studied many religions in Philosophy, e.g. Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Carvaka, Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Mormonism, Taoism, Confucianism and Shintoism. I took a Bible History course as well. I was telling Mom some things I learned in the Bible course when my sister started making insultiing remarks. My opinions are well-informed, while hers are ignorant. The people at her church are so ignorant that Mom has laughed about some things they've said. My textbook and a book Billy Graham gave me both list many contradictions in the Bible. Sis and her gang try to deny that, but they only make fools of themselves with overly-contrived and totally illogical arguments. I know Science quite well, so I see that the Bible is scientifically inaccurate, e.g. it says pi is 3, while it's really 3.14159, so I couldn'tuse the Bible for engineering work. There is no geological evidence of a world flood, and Noah's Ark couldn't hold examples of the 3,000,000+ animal species that exist. A boat made entirely of wood would fall apart in the sea. Revelation 6:13-14 says stars fell unto earth and the sky rolled up like a scroll. Ancients believed the sky was a dome 7 to 15miles above earth. We now know it's space, so there is nothing to roll up. Stars are too distant and too huge to fall upon us. The Sun is the nearest star at 93,000,000 miles average distance. Its diameter is 110 times as much as Earth's. Next nearest is the Alpha Centauri group over four light years away. A star would vaporize Earth if it came within a few million miles. I have good reasons for my lack of belief. Sis and the morons and imbeciles with whom she associates cannot discuss religion in a civilized manner, so they insult me. Did you imagine that you were the only one attacked for your beliefs. Sorry, but you are not a holy martyr. Christians are bad to attack anyone who believes differently.

Matthew 25:40 (NIV):

The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for even the least of these brothers of mine, you did for Me.'

That is what God will say on the Day of Judgment. If you buy a streetperson a cup of coffee, you've just bought Jesus a cup of coffee. If you insult your friend, you've just insulted Jesus. If you steal from a store, you've just ripped off Jesus.

Well yes, we are often criticized. But that's ok, because it is between us and God in the end. And when you point a finger at someone, remember, there are 3 pointed back at you. God is our Judge. "Vengeance is mine, says the Lord".

Yes ,I`ve been verbally attacked byChristians and other believers in God .
It seems that if one does not go along with the majority, you become the target of many.
Let`s face it OUR parents introduced us to the IDEA of God and religion.
No one has ever seen God and if they say they hear god ,or are god we lock them up .
If you believe in the second coming how do you know we didn`t lock up God ?
So before you judge me ,PROVE to me that GOD EXISTS.
