Throat cancer symptoms include: a lump or sore that does not heal, a sore throat that does not go away, difficulty swallowing, a change in the sound of the voice, and a new hoarseness in the voice.

It doesn't sound like you have any of these symptoms. You could have many strange sensations with mild sinusitis that would cause the problems you are having. Don't worry, and trust your doctors.

That having been said, I urge you to stop smoking. Please. My grandfather died of lung cancer, and it is not a pleasant way to end your life. If you are only 23, you should be able to break the habit and have your lungs clear. Please don't let your fears turn into reality!

It could be a dental infection somewhere. Throat cancer is most common in older males, especially smokers. I would be shocked if it were throat cancer. It could be lymphoma, which is a type of cancer in the lymph nodes, but if you aren't having other symptoms like night sweats, fevers, and fatigue that is also very unlikely. Most likely it is some type of infection or abcess. That is what I would suspect. Worrying is not going to help anything, and the statistical likelihood of cancer is quite low at this point, so you are only making yourself crazy for no reason! Try to focus your mind on something else, get a good book or rent a movie. Hope it all turns out fine, I'm sure it will.

You don't believe what your doctor tells you and then you come on here asking a load of sycotics for advice, you need serious counseling.

Have they checked your thyroid? It might be thyroid nodules, but then, I could not explain your sinus and ear problems.
