Hmmm... freedom of speech on the internet.
This is why freedom of speech is so important, so you can learn who all the stupid people are. Without freedom of speech, they could remain hidden.

If you realise, all the scripture quoted in that website are from the Old Testament. This means that the atrocious things that MEN did happened BEFORE CHRIST was born.
The acts were committed by men, not God.
All (men) have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Which is why God sacrified his own Son, who is without sin, to pay the price for the sins os mankind.
Romans 3: 23
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
The website states the 'Ritual Human Sacrifice in the Bible'. The fact that it states 'ritual' is already wrong. The author quoted Genesis 22: 1-18, which is a one-off thing. And true Christians understands that in this passage, God is not demanding a human sacrifice from Abraham but rather to test the obedience of Abraham. Thus God stopped Abraham from killing his son Issac.
The author also quoted Exodus 13:2 and intentionally mislead the readers into thinking that God requested for human sacrifice of all first-born. This is incorrect. The meaning of consecrate is not to sacrifice or kill, but to set apart as sacred, or to dedicate sloemnly for a specific goal etc.
It is precisely because God loves the people of this world that He sacrificed His own Son, Jesus Christ, who is perfect and without sin, to die a horrible and humiliating death so that our sins can be forgiven.
Romans 6: 23
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
As thinking adults, we shouldn't take everything that others say at face value. Instead, we should analyse and research on whether whatever is shared is to be believed.
Plus, I believe that we all have more important (and more constructive) things to do than to dedicate an entire website to attacking a religion / faith. Anyone who dedicates a website to such things have their (most probably questionable) intentions.
Enough said.

Many of the passages quoted on the website you gave were from the Old Testament. Perhaps you should be asking Jewish scholar about this.
As for Christians, while we use the Old Testament as part of our holy book, it is only 1/2 of that book. The other half, the part where Christianity is introduced to the world, is the New Testament. And no, Jesus Christ did not promote these kinds of acts as a way to worship God. It was the very fact that he preached against these acts that made Jewish leaders accuse him of disrupting the peace in Jerusalem, thus leading to his death.
Why not read the New Testament for yourself and see what you think, without depending on others to interpret it for you? There are good, non-King James versions out there. Find one and begin to seek the truth for yourself.

First off its from American Atheists.
And when a website has "retard of the month" its another website made by a whiny Atheists who's parents didn't give them any attention and they failed school and now have to blame something. "Buy me a beer" casue he doesnt have a real job and is collecting hard workers taxs with welfare.
I know Atheists people who lay down "why God isn't real" and do a much better job, and I have seen alot of websites out there that do a more convincing job.
Anyone can put up anything on the internet, Atheists will do anything and say anything to prove Christianity if false. But its a religon and way on how we see life. CS Lewis was a hard core Atheists....before writing Narnia spent months trying to figure out and was working on a book that would prove God to be fake, but actualy found God and wrote Narnia and alot other Christian books.

NO, very little of it is true. That is how Satan works, mix a little truth in with a lot of error and it will seem a lot better. God has never told anyone to rape young girls and kidnap them for their own evil pleasure. God did tell some to kill all that was in the city as the city was so wicked that He wanted to save them from the wickedness that would follow if they were to be kept alive. What people do not take into account, God has a right to take any life He chooses as He is the life giver. WE do not have the power to give life so should not take it without the express order of God, the only One that can give life to anything. Would you eat brownines that were made with just a little fecal matter mixed in? Nobody in their right mind would but they take half truths and add a lot of lies and they will believe that and take it in just as easily as if it were brownies that looked good but had that fecal matter mixed in them.

People are called Christians when they embrace Jesus Christ as a central figure in a plan of salvation. (Either as God and Savior- or like the JW's as a saving angel).Christian groups vary in who they themselves concider to be Christians. Just breezed through the website. It's all rediculous. And Yaz is right, very insulting

I read the NKJV, KJV and The Amplified Bible and I see nothing about raping any women. (Judges 21:10-24) God Himself said the wages of sin is death. If you notice the cause of these "mass murders" was someones grave sin. Also, when God ordered Israel to wipe out certain tribes you note that the people were pagans who were against God and his people. These people would have probably attacked and killed the Israelites if they had the opportunity. You should not question God and his motives over one lousy website whose purpose is to portray God in an evil light.

Ha ha, that's funny. This is not necessarily the way one should view the bible, but it is based on fact. However, these people have taken the "word of God" and turned it around to suit their purpose. You have to view this from both sides. Pull out a bible and compare it to what you see written on the website. Is it the same? Decide for yourself. Good luck and blessed be!
Side note: Those "bible contradictions" were hilarious.

Well, looks like the Religious Dogmatic Ones are not moved by this website or anything else that makes any sense whatsoever.
All they understand is "Rote Biblical Babble" written by Goat Herders and Fishermen.
Oh yeah, the "New Testament" is soooo perfect!!!!!!!!
