Many people, though they don't actually bow down, hang images(posters and such)of celebrities, and idolise them, want to be with them, and want to be just like them.
So, in a way, are not many people worshipping the famous, and by doing so, going aginst The LORD?

That is absolutely correct. The command says NO other gods before ME. Anything you put between you and God is a god to you. Including celebrities.

Oh for (insert name of approved deity here) sake get off your high horse. Better that, frankly, than worship a non-existant vindictive entity such as the LORD (I presume here you are not refering to LORD Jeffrey Archer, Screaming LORD Sutch or Deep Purple keyboard wizard Jon LORD).

Let's take film stars: I assess an actor on the quality of performance, but I well remember that my first mother-in-law wouldn't allow us to watch a film on TV with Elizabeth Taylor in it, because she had been married and divorced so many times.

Oh yeah. you're completely no longer feeding the troll and giving it the attention it needs. We shouldn't forget approximately it and circulate on with our damns selves, understanding that is in basic terms yet another pathetic little toddler who have been given a carry of Mommy's laptop.

Guys hang up posters of girls in bikinis. Girls hang up posters of hunks. Believe me, it's not the same kind of idolization that you're thinking about with Christ. It's more of a physical than spiritual thing, and before you say it, we're all sinners.

No, its okay to have someone that you look up to, it's more of a role model type of thing. They aren't going against the lord, they just envy that person. They just don't appreciate themselves enough. Its okay to idolize a person. Its completely natural to want what other people have. Don't be so criticizing, I'm sure you look up to someone too.

Not actual idolatry, (if it were, then posters of that person would have to be burned), but it's similar. Some Rabbis say that even applies to sports nuts (those who watch sports 'religiously', and consider it the most important thing).

Well if Lord would agree to photoshoots in Heat and let OK photo his wedding this problem would not occur.

Sorry I do not and never have worshipped anyone other than myself, I believe I am the most important thing to myself.
