Don't tell people you're on a diet.
People will immediate inflict their opinion on you and bully you into doing it all 'their way'.
Within 24 hours of telling someone you're on a diet you can guarantee you get 'oh you're not eating enough', '..but you need good fat that's in cream cakes' etc.
Some are actually trying to help, other are trying to sabotage. Either way it's totally destructive.
Don't tell anyone you're on a diet. if someone notice a change in your eating pattern tell them you've got belly ache so don't fancy eating.

I have the same problem. You have to do what works for YOU. Losing weight is no easy job; most people who haven't had the experience can't possibly know what YOU are going through. Not eating is the worse thing you can do; it can eventually lead to stomach ulcers. Drinking plenty of water, whether it be tap, flavored, spring, or whatever form it is that YOU can handle, serves as an appetite supressant. And, the more you can drink, the better shot you have of flushing unnecessary things from your body. Throughout the course of your day, you could try eating things like fresh vegetables and fruits, nuts, veggie chips, trail mixes, crackers; anything like this in spurts that you yourself enjoy eating. But whatever is going to help you lose weight has to be in a way that is comfortable for YOU.

You should never eat unless your hungry, 3 sensible well balanced meals each day is fine, fruit and vegetables should be added to the meals too, stay off sweet things, stop the snacks and greasy foods and just eat well balanced healthy food instead,
you know you do have to eat though, a lettuce leaf and ryvitas is not enough to help you lose weight, get a good calorie book or go to the supermarket and get a Weight Watcher or Slimming World magazine, they both do healthy eating plans and are really helpful, just eat sensibly to convince the person/people who are worrying about you that you are doing things the right way.

Eat small amounts regularly, but not sweet foods. IE/ Have carrot sticks available, small packets of raisons, fruit, anmd eact at least one 'normal' meal a day. Explain to people that you are eating healthily as well as trying to lose weight - if they still don't believe you AND you're telling the truth - ignore them.

That is easy. Just follow the basic rule of 'putting out' more calories than you 'put in'. Exercise. Exercise. Exercise. Also, eat the right foods. Fruit and veg are good and have very low calories. Stay away from high fat, white flours and sugar.
