You can find information on these lasers from many different sources, depending upon what you are interested in.

If you are interested in their medical/scientific applications, you should look at scientific journals, etc. For example, try searching on Holmium or YAG in the National Institute of Health (NIH) online database (see links below) or the Optical Society of America (OSA). Unfortunately, you will need to pay to download the full articles.

If you want information on specific commercial lasers, try looking at vendor websites, such as Odyssey and Laserscope.

If you want a basic understanding of laser principles, you can pick up any of the books I've listed, but be prepared, they can get very technical.

OSA: http://www.osa.org/

Odyssey: http://www.convergentlaser.com/odyssey.php

Laserscope: http://www.laserscope.com/surgical/professionals/holmium.html

Its everywhere. intense skill lasers are generally used for reducing and welding in production, and in protection structures. Low skill lasers are utilized in shape and surveying, even residences, in CD and DVD gamers and in rifle factors of interest. annoying to do without it at the instant.
