Just recently started having them again for no apparent reason. Anyone else had this happen, or relapsed on lexapro?

A very close friend of mine is on Lexapro as well as a relative.Neither one has seen very good results from it and it's recommended that you switch to a different drug under the supervision of your doctor after a year on Lexapro.I know more people who've had better luck with Cymbalta because it's both a nor epinephrine and serotonin re uptake inhibitor.I have no personal experience with these types of drugs, just observations.

I was on Lexapro for 2 years and recently had to change meds for the same reason. I was told by my Dr. that the expectancy of all antidepressants/anti anxiety meds is from 1-3 years before adjusting. If you're taking the 20mg dosage already than it's probably time for a change. Call your Dr.

You may need to be reevaluated for the dosage. After taking a medication it may need to be increased to provide the effect desired.
