David,
You are a christian. Stop this evil and deceptive form of missionizing. It degrades christianity.

on the side, the subject of Isaiah 53 is promised a "long life" and "seed" (i.e. physical children). clearly this isn't about jesus.

Jesus had to die to pay the price sins. He was the spotless lamb who knew no sin, He took the punshment that should have been ours. It goes all the way back to Genesis when Adam and Eve ate of the forbidden fruit. In Genesis chapter 3 it says "And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head and you will bruise Him on the heel."
Jesus came to fulfill all that was prophesied about Him.
He fulfilled Psalm 22, Isaiah 53, Micah 5:2-15, Zechariah 9:9, Isaiah 61
Yes, Jesus came that we have forgiveness and the way to life everlasting. We just have to accept what He did on the cross for us. He isn't dead, AMEN, he rose again and lives forever in heaven.

If you are Jewish and believe that Jesus was the Messiah then you are questioning your own religion. Jews are still waiting for the Messiah and believe Jesus was just a prophet.
Maybe you should convert to Christianity.

Well Jesus didn't die because of Isaiah's prediction.
Isaiah predicted it because He would die anyway.
Elsewhere in scripture, Jesus actually says that, "Great are the words of Isaiah!" ... and He asked us specifically to study them.
As most know by now, Jesus died that we might live.
He had to die in order to be resurrected with a perfect, Immortal body, which was far superior to His mortal body.
And it was because He was resurrected and therefore actually became the very first to overcome death that we are able to be resurrected also.
Therefore, in effect, if He had not died for us, we would never live again - Immortally, either.
As the scripture says:
"As in Adam all men die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive"
So, firstly, our salvation is a physical salvation, insofar as our corruptible bodies "shall put on incorruption", and be resurrected, as a free gift to all.
Then there is that possibility of spiritual salvation through the price He paid - that we might receive that great Gift of 'eternal life', for all those who would repent - who accept Christ as their Saviour and Redeemer and who sincerely ask for His forgiveness.
Thus, He paid the atonement FOR us, as Isaiah says.
That is, He paid and 'suffered the price for our sin that we might not have to suffer if we would repent'.
This salvation is available to all, but only those who truly repent will receive such blessing.
Those who take Christ on as their Saviour and endeavour to follow Him "will receive eternal life, which gift is the greatest of all the gifts of God".

Jesus Christ died for our sins - just as we read from the prophetic scriptures.
However, Jesus Christ did not read the prophetic word so as to do what was written thereon. But the prophetic word was written, so as to make the human race identify Christ. In other words, even if the Bible was not there, Jesus Christ would have still come and done exactly what he did - however, people wouldn't be able to identify.

I think you answered your own question if I understood you wording correctly. Just research ALL the prophecies pointing to the Messiah, and you will find even more evidence that Jesus IS the ONE and ONLY.

Well, if you're going to believe the scriptures, Jesus didn't die because of Isaiah but because that was God's will. Which is obvious, anyway, if you believe in God, being that everything is His will.
