Please note that I would never do this, I love my kitty and would never harm her. I'm just wondering.

My cat had to have her back leg amputated on about May 30th. They shaved a good portion of her left side. As of today, you can see a little bit of the hair growing back. I was really starting to wonder if it was ever going to come back.

They also shaved a part of her front leg for an IV and it is just now starting to grow back also. Evidently there hair doesn't grow very fast.

I remember it taking 3 months for the fur on Lucy C. Tabby's belly to grow back after they shaved her for the spaying. She has a very thick coat.

What a thing to be curious about! (remember curiosity killed the cat!)

My cat had an operation and had his fur shaved off. Took about two months to grow back totally.

You dont want to do it yourself. Its dangerous. To answer your question, It might never grow back as thick or fluffy.
