I did not know that even people in Egypt are against Muslims, because that is predominantly an Islamic country. People, of late, have become anti - Muslim because whole over the world the terrorist activities are mainly by Muslims. It does not mean that all Muslims are terrorists or all of them support terrorism. There are lot many people who are pacifists and peace loving, but very few of them have the courage to come out openly in an organized way to oppose the terrorist groups.

You are joking right? You are not a muslim. You are just making up this question right?

I am a woman who has seen what islam does to others. I was tortured because someone wanted to convert me to islam. I was beaten with a belt and raped over and over again.

I know what islam is. So dont bring your innocent veiled question here trying to tell the world what is not true?

If you are really a muslim and young as seventeen I would suggest you read about the history of islam and how many people they have killed.

I am a woman and if islam was so great a relgion why was I beaten in public when muslims were watching?

I would suggest you start learning a lot more than flowers and such. Maybe that is becuase you dont want to learn the truth. That is why you are pretending to be an innocent bystander.

you know about yahoo. You come here and pose a serious question which looks like a joke to those who know and you say you are innocent. I dont think so.

You are seriously joking right?

Well I would have a feeling that a lot of this whole reasoning maybe because of the fact that Yahoo has a large American following. Due to the fact you are going to get a majority of American's answering questions. Well not to be sterotypical but most Americans in a whole tend to be, or at least claim that they are Christians.

I myself when thinking of Islam do not think of people blowing people up. I know there are many peaceful Islamic followers. However the fact is I can be totally warm and fuzzy towards a religion I do not support in any manner. Nice to you I will be but I am not going to support your religion in any manner.

Unfortunately I do not know much about the Islamic religion, so I have not much to say on the topic however, I intend to learn more eventually.

I am Christian and I never ever been against Islam or Muslims. Every religion whoch teaches and appeals to goodness and peace is wonderful.Personally,I feel that the marvel is that the religion, say Islam gives us hope to proceed with hope in that troubled world. I live in Europe and I have even a dear Egyptian friends ,who are Muslim and I love them. Those who hate are mostly ignorent people. If you wear hijab, that's your decision and it's fine. Look I also love flowers and pets and all is hidden into the human heart..so do not think that most people here are against Islam. Shukran for the question..Allah Albar.

hi, its these small amount of extreme muslims that support terrorists, which ruin it for all others. i am not a muslim but i have alot of friends who are muslim and they are wonderful ppl. however they are not strict muslims and some of them drink as well. u do not need to pray 5 times a day or wear hijabs or do anything extreme. no religion knows what god wants from every human, nearly all religions are fiction. no one has has seen god, so everyone knows nothing.
maybe u are enjoying living as a devout muslim coz u are living in egypt, where everyone is a muslim, but here in the uk if u walk around more and more ppl are not following the laws in the quran, and maybe the next generation there will be less ppl following the rules, because they finally know that this is not the way to live

good for you. i am a 29 years old egyptian muslim too. i wish there were more people in the world like you. islam is a wonderful religion. we are not terrorists. people here are against islam bcause they know nothing about it. people are often too scared of things they don't know. they have also been mislead by their media. they made them believe that muslims are all terrorists and that islam is a religion about hatred and violence. it is not. if they really knew about it, they will know that what they have been told is not true. muslims are people with beliefs just like any others. some are good people and some are not. just like all the others.

People confuse the religious person for the religion. They see a "Muslim" fanatic terrorist and think Islam. They see a "Christian" bombing an abortion clinic and think Christian. They read of missionaries being massacred and think Hindu. They see war in the Middle East and think Judaism.

But the person is not the religion. I saw several Islamic students (judging by their veil) at Uni, and never once thought they automatically hated me. Same with Bhuddist, Judaic, and Christian students. So long as your religion does not call for you to hate me, hurt me, kill me, or in any way impinge on me or my beliefs, then I have no problems - and yes, I think that goes two ways.

I have no problem with Islam, but I do have problems with the Taliban and it's treatment of women. I have no problems with Catholicism, but I do have problems with fundamentalists in the Philipines shunning Protestants and labeling them "Born Against".

I have no problems with religions, just fundamentalists who use their religion as an excuse - crazy-s, that is what you dealt with; not the religion, but people who used the religion as an excuse to hurt you and forward their petty hates.

Don't blame Islam for what was done to you, blame the ones who did it to you. Don't blame Christianity for the Crusades, blame the Popes who sanctioned them.

For the record, I do not hate Islam and I was raised to be Christian. I am an individual, and I refuse to succumb to labelist mentality and hate a group for the actions of other individuals.

I am an American Christian. I have some knowledge of Islam, but not a great deal.

I think it is the violent and fanatical people who have twisted Islam to justify killings who have given all Moslems a bad name.

I am always careful to draw a distinction between the terrorists and other Moslems.

Peace.

Due to the reputation of some who claim to be Islam.

Same thing about Christians in America, dear. Due to the ignorance or blatant idiocy of a certain group claiming to be Christian, Christians are seen negatively by a lot of people as well.

Another possible reason is that some people like to believe only what they want to hear, without considering any alternatives. Any alternative is considered offensive.

I love cats too!!!
