Eric, Pal, it does still exist. What we have now is an insidious form. Well hidden, impossible to legally define but there in attitudes and actions. An old wag said yesterday, at least it's not so concentrated on blacks these days, as our turn comes off the spotlight, its now Arabs and the perpectual targets, Jews. Wonderful world we live in.

It's a question of where. Racism is alive and well in places like southern USA.
In 2001, Alabama's senate overturned a law banning interracial marriage. The vote was 60-40.., meaning 40 senators voted to keep the law on the books. It's less noticable elsewhere. If you go to new york, I can guarantee people of arabic and indian descent are singled out for "random" searches.
Then there are countries which have entirely different laws for people of different descent, or countries which have a state religion (israel, iran)

when a minority says 'you have to give us special consideration because we're a minority' that isn't racism to further the minority?

Which of those two senarios don't include racism?
If I said their should be White studies in College or a White caucus in Congress as all others are represented that way there, how many White people would burn my house down for being racist?
Plenty. We even punish ourselves to the point that we are born racist and teach our children we are racist and must let everyone else first.

Yes and the racist are going after younger kids to recruit into their
groups.More subtle groups use coded language to hide their racism.

racism seriously still does exist. even though it may seem like someone is joking by calling someone else a racist name it is still racism, or on tv when they think they are being funny making fun of black or white people they are being racist too. so racism definitly still does exist...

If you really don't know the answer to that,just look up ^ ^ ^ at some of the questions that ppl asked after you asked yours.Man,I'm surprised that you asked that question.Every where you go,there is some form of racism.White/black,american/hispanic,everybody one color vs. everybody another color.The list goes on......
