I do my best to find a happy middle ground. If that can not be found, I do unto others as I would like done to me. What goes around comes around. So, I do not always do unto others as I truly feel like doing and I try my best not to do to others as "they do onto you" (for me I have the worst time adhering to this philosophy when someone cuts me off in traffic. As tempting as it is to speed ahead of them and do the same, or to tailgate them with no mercy, it dose not make the situation any better.).

Hell no, that is how people run over you. Instead of "Do you do unto others as you truly feel like doing or as they do onto you?" why not "Do unto others, as they do unto you." Meaning, if you are going to be rude or cruel to me, expect me to smash your head into a dresser. Amen :)

For the most part I feel that I do. I am polite, I am courteous and not to mention I am not rude, and I never say things to hurt peoples feelings (unless they have done something to deserve it)...I am pretty reserved when I don't know someone..so I always treat them with respect.
Sometimes I do get grumpy and I do have my moments, but overall I would say that I treat everyone pretty fairly...for some reason though...I don't get treated the same...
I thought if you did good things good things would happen to you..apparently the karma crap isn't true.

I do unto others what I would have them do unto me. There is not one whit of satisfaction in hurting another. It took me many years to realize that, and I have grown so much since learning to be a kind, compassionate woman.

To be honest, I sometimes do as I truly feel but most of the time I do it to them as I would want them to do it unto me....its hard but I figure its gonna come back to me one day...

Yes, but I often don't get treated like I treat people. It seems that I often get the short end of the stick if it be family, friends, or co-workers. But I don't allow that to change the way I treat people in general.

I try to always treat people how I would like to be treated, although I don't always succeed. I get no joy out of hurting others.
