no wonder how much i try, i cannot rename a folder as "con"

Jay CON is reserved word CON = Console that's why you cant use it.

In DOS command you can use it like this

AT C:\ COPY CON MYLETTER.TXT
OR
IF YOU WANT TO PRINT THEN YOU USE

c:\ COPY CON MYLETTER.TXT>PRN
