They come mostly from Islamic countries in response to the Jihad call by the Al qaida like organizations. Some fundamentalist Muslims are also from non-Islamic western countries.

Terrorists come from all over. It would be nice if they came from just one place so we could just blow them all away in one quick blow. Sad part is there will always be some form of terrorism on this planet because there will always be people born who just arent right in the head. Murder and drive bys is no different than terrorism. Gang banging is terrorism. Serial killers are almost the same as terrorist. Terrorists get off on the pain they cause to others and even more when it is shown on the news. If all the countries would get together and not show any type of terrorism on the news or front pages of the newspapers and no matter how hard it would be at first but if noone would comment on any terrorist attacks and just treat the info like it was no big deal it would defeat the purpose of the terrorists. They want attention they want to see reactions. Thats thier high. Without the attention or reactions the rush they get from the sick things they do soon is meaningless . We all know that there are sickos all over the planet and when these sickos see the attention that is given to terrorism they soon join up so they can get a piece of the action. Some dont even join up they just go out and start killing people so they can have their 5 minutes of fame on the news. And those nuts are even more dangerous than the known ones because they just pop up anywhere . The CIA and who ever cant keep tabs on those nuts because no one knows those nuts even exist.

terrorists exist all over the world and are funded, armed and trained by all the major governments. When a Government does this it is called helping freedom fighters. when a government fights against this it is called fighting terrorism or a war on terror.

For instance NORAID was an American organisation that allowed Americans to fund the Irish Terrorists and helped them to kill innocent Children in England and elsewhere.

A more accurate question would be what causes terrorism?

Injsutice without redress. wWhen humans feel that there exists no other path to redress terrible and inhuman injustice, then violence becomes the only course left open to them.

Any other reason is just propoganda.

Anywhere. Anyone who chooses to kill unfairly, waging a war but using methods that are outside accepted terms of warfare (ie intentionally focusing on civilians, when the soldiers are out in the open; hiding soldiers amongst civilians; attacking the innocent to prove a point), killing out of fear instead of logic or provocation, or using their belief system or profession as a justified reason to kill.

It doesn't matter where they come from... They are world-wide. Take the home-grown Unabomber or Oklahoma City bombers. They killed innocents to prove their points. Take the whatever-supremacists who terrorize and kill those who are not of their race/color, who can be found worldwide. Take radical Islam, who threatens and attacks Israel and the US without provocation, or Saddam Hussein within the Middle east, who terrorized and killed his population when they didn't bow to his and his sons' every whim. Consider a lot of the strife within many of the nations in Africa. Remember Tiananmen Square, and the deaths of Christians who seek to read their Bible the way it was meant to (ie with a person's own free understanding, not learning a forced doctrine pushed on by the state) in China.

Terrorism is everywhere. A better question is, why does mankind permit it to continue...?

Terrorist come from a variety of sources depending upon mostly a religious point of view and in some cases a political point of view using fear as a tool to bring about change in government that will align itself in such a way that is favorable to that point of view.
In the case of the Islamic terrorist, it comes from the point of view that the quoran says that all nations that are not Islam should be destroyed if they will not be converted.
I of course am Christian and reject that, as Christian, we are to follow the Great Commission that says that we are to go forth and preach the Gospel to all the nations, That does not include doing so by force, God gave us a choice, it is not up to Christians to force that point of view upon anyone, as God will do that himself during the Millennial reign

Surprisingly enough most of them active in the US are religious white boys like you. The acts by the muslims are a long way down the list when read as nationalities involved in terror. Just go through the list of Presidential assassins and it should become clear. Or read up on Tim McVeigh, the uni bomber, that guy last week who shot up a synagogue or the one last month who murdered five people in a church, Then there are the ones who were mailing anthrax around. it just goes on and on.

terrorists come from every where. every country has its own terrorist groups that hate others and want to see them exterminated. they are bred by a culture of hatred. they are taught to hate others ever since they were born and they were raised to believe that violence is the only way to make themselves heard or to prove their point.
