From 16 months to 20 months, my daughter was on various antibiotics, including shots. She ended up with tubes in her ears. Atfer that, I found out she was allergic to the vitamins I was giving her and this had caused the repeated ear infections and coughing. Since then I have been very cautious of her diet and she has had to have antibiotics only once, for strep throat. Between her diet and regular Chiropractic visits, she hasn't been sick.

Both my children were born in the USA.
My daughter has had antibiotics probably a dozen times. Once for an ear infection when she was 4 and the rest for numerous occurrences of strep throat. She is currently 8 and gets strep throat about 3 times each winter!
My son has had them once for an occurrence of strep throat when he was 5.

Once or twice only. The Dr's I use are not the type to overprescribe antibiotics like many others are.

Most ear infections are viral so antibiotics are useless anyway and do more harm then good.

our 9 year old in USA has had one course of antibiotics during entire life. child received human milk for years, per WHO recommendations.

our 13.5 year old also USA born and raised also received human milk for years (both received it the traditional way!) but was given 1 formula bottle 3X/week from ages 6 weeks to 11 months. This child has had antibiotics 3x, twice for ear infections as an infant/toddler and once at 6, a course of antibiotics which literally saved his life from aggresive, missed-by-the-first pediatrician, pneumonia.
