A man works in a tower block with 25 floors, every morning he gets in the lift and goes to the 15th floor. Then he walks the last 10.
When he finishes work he gets in the lift on the 25th floor and goes to the ground floor. Why?

You should've finished the question - which is, that on rainy days he is able to go all the way up to the 25th floor -
(because he carries an umbrella)

May be he has work on the floors above 15, is the one possibility.
What others have suggested that his height allows him to operate 15th floor button, may be the other option.
May be the second is correct.

Did I miss something? The answer would seem to be to go out the front door and go home. He walks the last 10 in the morning to get some exercise and make it look like he walked up every flight but can't be bothered when going home. Maybe I'm too stupid or cynical to understand this.

Three theories..
Maybe its his bit of daily exercise and he might only feel the benefit going up the stairs.
Maybe he See's someone he fancies on the 10th floor at that time of the day
Maybe he's really superstitious and has no other reason.

he is too short to reach beyond the 15th floor button when he's going to work. but on his way down he can reach the ground floor button.
