No they are entirely different. Twinkle twinkle is originally French, and 80/90 years old or more. The alphabet song is more modern and approximately 40 years old extremely boring and English. Developed by a bored primary school teacher to aid learning the alphabet at speed.

The notes you've quoted Cazza is Twinkle Twinkle little star not the alphabet song. Is it possible you have been taught the alphabet to twinkle twinkle and thought that must be the alphabet song?

Yup, it's

Notes-Words (Letters)

ccggaag-twinkle twinkle little star (abcdefg)
ffeeddc-how I wonder what you are (hijklmnop)
ggffeed-up above the world so high (qrstu and v)
ggffeed-like a diamond in the sky (xy double you and zee) -american prununciation of z.
ccggaag-twinkle twinkle little star (now I know my abc)
ffeeddc, -how I wonder what you are (won't you sing a long with me?)

the x y w and z has to be sang with the right rythm and I can't put the beat in so you'll have to work it out, but you get the idea.

You are traumatising me as we speak. I feel there is a crossover of rhythm and I am getting confused. My pal Fiona is a music teacher but sadly on holiday in the Costa del Sol at the mo and I feel she is the one to help. I need her advice. I will also take the advice of my five year old nephew. This is going to bug me all day. You wicked person. I am now going to start singing the Alphabet Song to Public Enemy's Fight the Power to help me calm down.

Twinkle, twinkle, little bat.
How I wonder what you're at.
Up above the world so high,
Like a tea tray in the sky,
Twinkle, twinkle, little bat.
How I wonder what you're at.

Random eh? Don't know where it's from but my sis sings it to her little girl.

The beginning is similar, (ABCDEFG) but I think (HIJKLM) are kind of tagged on, where "how i wonder what you are" is in reverse to the start (tune like GFEDCBA)
