In my opinion, building up requires effort and effort demands time so if you want to sustain it,you have to do that on regular basis from a simple daily walks,an hour swim even to a 15km run.Know your limits and stick to what works best for you.

2. will cycling help build stamina and leg muscles effectively?
Yes,I believe so.Just don't go extremes like taking steroids and get paranoid that it's still not paying off.

Important thing is you know how far you can go by setting your boundaries.
Walking by the seashore or jog in the forrest would be a nice treat, don't you think?

take care.

Building strength and stamina are going to be hard, any way you do it. The only thing you can do to make it easier is to find an activity which you enjoy more then the others. Some people like jogging outside, some prefer jogging on a treadmill. Others like swimming laps in a pool. Others like to ride a bike, or use a stationary exercise bike. It all depends on what you enjoy most.

These are all effective activities. And the idea of consuming LESS time is contradicting to the idea of STAMINA... To be able to do something stronger for a longer period of time, you have to work harder for a longer period of time.

maybe u should go to the gym nearby your place. the instructor will help to build your stamina without wearing you out. important thing is u have to realise u can't do it overnight. it takes time to do it. just take it step by step and u'll be fine.
