I'm thinking God is everywhere and within people of all nations. God is no more and no less American than He is Guatemalan or Indonesian. I think He must not be a citizen though, because He was not born here and I'm sure someone would have made a big deal if he would have become naturalized. However, the God I worship is very much an American Invention. He is different in many ways from the way God is depicted and worshipped in other parts of the world, even England. I suppose it just depends how we define American.
