Birthdays are brilliant as you get lots of nice presents, like handbags and stuff off your friends. And you get a night out partying with all of you good friends! And sometimes you have 'special birthdays' like when you are 40 or 50 and have Megga parties, you can't be far off that now can you?

Hi Collette,
The point of birthday parties *which I believe that's what you're asking CZ you weren't too specific* is to celebrate life! One thing I started doing when I was in my 20's was send my MOM a birthday card on MY birthday! That would come with a gift and roses, too! Some folks say that's crazy, but when I thought about it, SHE is a big part of why I was celebrating my birthday. And besides, she did most of the work bringing me into this world.
So don't be a party pooper and have some fun! I don't know when it is, but here's wishing you a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY whenever the day is here.

It's a great excuse to throw a party. Have lots of friends and family over. Eat, drink and party. If the gift thing bothers you then tell people not to bring gifts. Life is too short so take every opportunity you can to party and have a good time!

Having a birthday is a fact of our reality. Every year, your day comes.
Celebrating a birthday is saying that you are thankful for your presence on earth (little corny). Happy to exist, glad you were born, and all that celebrate with you attest that they are happy you exist also. So, happy birthday!
