Try this one. Also, I really like to add pineapple to my coleslaw!

Creamy Coleslaw
It takes only 15 minutes to throw this classic salad together.

2 teaspoons lemon juice
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon celery seed
1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 white cabbage, 2 carrots, 1 onion. Shred or grate and mix together, with some mayonnaise.

If you want to cut the calories a bit, use reduced-calorie mayonnaise mixed 50:50 with natural yoghurt. Or you could use a vinaigrette dressing, just to ring the changes and make it different.

But Lidl's coleslaw is so nice I've stopped bothering to make my own!

HOW TO MAKE COLESLAW

Preparation time: 5 minutes.

There are two standard ways that we serve coleslaw in our home, one with mayo and one without. They are both delicious, and both make a wonderful accompaniment to seafood dishes. We also love them with hot dogs.

Cabbage, either green or purple or both
Carrot
Green onion

For Mayo version:
Mayonnaise
Yellow mustard
Pepper

For Non-mayo version:
Rice vinegar or white vinegar
Sugar
Salt and pepper

Starting with a head or half a head of cabbage, thinly slice the cabbage until you have approximately 4 cups (not packed) of sliced cabbage. Julienne a half of a carrot. Thinly slice a couple green onions.

For the mayo dressing version, add 3 Tbsp mayo, 1/2 teaspoon of yellow mustard and mix in with the cabbage, carrot, and onions. Add pepper to taste.

For the non-mayo version, add a couple tablespoons of rice vinegar. Sprinkle with sugar, salt, and pepper to taste.

grate sum carrots up, slice to your liking some...: white cabbage, red onion, white onion. Add some mayo, again to your liking, squeeze about the juice of a lemon into it, season with salt and pepper to your taste, dash of white wine vinegar, and mix together. Kapow! Home made chunky or sandwiich style coleslaw.

3/4 cup of mayonnaise
1/4 cup white vinegar
1/2 tablespoon sugar (or less to taste)
1 tablespoon celery seed
1/2 small head of cabbage
1 carrot grated or chopped in mini processor
salt and pepper to taste

This is best prepared by chopping the cabbage in the food processor.
Next, just put the remaining ingredients on top and mix together.

Place in fridge for about an hour before serving.

Personally, we enjoy the one we purchase from Sam's Club, but...

1 medium-sized head green cabbage
2 carrots, thinly shredded
1 onion
1 green pepper
1 c. sugar
1 c. vinegar
1 tsp. salt
1 tablespoon grated horseradish
1 tsp. mustard seed
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. turmeric

Shred the cabbage and carrots, then chop them up a bit. Chop the green pepper and onion and combine it with the cabbage. Boil together the vinegar, sugar, salt, and spices, only until they are well blended. Pour over the slaw and allow it to set for several hours before serving. Store in refrigerator. This is good served with baked beans or as a hot dog relish.

white cabbage & onions, ( chopped small or shredded)
carrot (shredded / grated )
mix well with mayo or I prefer heinz salad cream
my usual ratio is half cabbage, one medium onion and one medium carrot. That makes enough for everyone here, keeps for up to 3 days in the fridge.( not in my house it disappears in minutes !)
if you like more bite add more onion , for a sweeter coleslaw add more carrot
enjoy !
