How old is the kitten? If she's over eight weeks, she should be okay with your older cat but don't leave them alone together until your sure they are getting along. Have her with you at night since you have spoiled her during the day she is lonely and will cry when you are gone. Try squirting the older cat when he/she shows aggressive behavior to let him/her know it is unacceptable. They will grow used to each other in a few days and usually make friends within a week or two at most. You will need to do some policing especially for the first few days but after that they should start to adjust. It will just take a little time.

Just a young tike exploring the world, however keep a spray bottle full of water handy in case she starts on the soft furnishings, and squirt it gently in her direction she will soon get the message and stop.
Try giving her some cat toys to play with or one of those cat gyms
it may help. But what kittens really like is a tunnel made out of joined together carboard boxes. You coul always give her an empty cardboard box to play in.

When we have a problem with cats going behind the sofa I put tinfoil (aluminium foil) behind it. They don't like the noise when they walk on it. The other thing that cats really hate is oranges. See if you can find some orange essential oil and put it on rags in strategic places, that should help. I would suggest using regular oranges cut in half, but I kept forgetting about them when I did that and they went manky, attracting all the flies. You can also buy some stuff from the vets called felliway? and that really does work, but it is about £3 a bottle and you have to remember to spray it regularly.
Thankfully she should grow out of it when she gets older and lazier!

Yes, they do make a spray. I have used it to keep my cat out of the silk plants. Also, a regular spray bottle filled with water will work. You just have to catch her in the act.

I've seen these motion detector devices with canned air (at the vets for about 29 dollars). Just aim it where you don't want your cat to be.
