the man is the woman's FATHER-IN-LAW.
1) the woman (lets call her W) has a mother-in-law (lets call her ML)
2) the man has a mother-in-law (lets call her MA).
3) MA is ML's mother and MA is also the man's mother-in-law. That makes the man and ML husband and wife.
4) Since ML is W's mother-in-law, that makes the man W's FATHER-IN-LAW.
